Policies

We reserve the right to add, update, or change polices at any time. In the event a policy is added, updated, or changed we will notify all swimmers in our program in print and/or email via our e-notification.

Cancellations
48 Hours Notice: if we receive at least 48 hours notice that you are going to cancel a swim lesson/class, we can schedule a make-up lesson or give your account a credit for the lesson/class. (Maximum of 2 credits per month.)

24 Hours Notice: if we receive 24 hours notice that you are going to cancel a swim lesson/class, we can schedule a make-up lesson. It must be scheduled within 2 weeks of the canceled lesson and cannot be during your regular swim time.

Participants can let us know they aren't coming by sending us an email or by leaving a message on our phone. Please don't tell your instructor as they don't handle any scheduling.

We do make exceptions for medical emergencies. If this is the case, please give us a note or receipt from the doctor and we will be happy to give you a credit for the missed lesson/class.

Less than 24 Hours Notice: No credit or make-up lesson offered.

No Showing to lessons: if you don't contact us to cancel a lesson, and don't show up for that lesson it is considered a "no-show". You will be billed for that lesson. After 2 consecutive no-shows, with no contact from the swimmer or parent, the swimmer will be removed from the FSS program.

Showing Up Late: once you're registered for lessons, your spot and instructor are reserved just for you. If you show up late to that lesson, you can still use the remaining time. No credits, refunds or make-ups will be given for lost time due to being late. We run lessons back-to-back, but if an instructor has an open slot after yours, they may offer to go over to make up the time, but this is at the instructor's discretion.

Billing Periods
Invoice payments are due at the 1st lesson of each month. If payments are not made by the end of the day on the 10th, a $15 late fee will be applied to the invoice. We are closed for the following holidays and do not charge swimmers for these dates:

Payments
We accept exact cash, checks and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover & American Express).
  • We cannot keep credit/debit card information on file, you must actively pay your invoices each month.
  • If a check is returned, a $25 fee will be applied on your account to cover our bank fees.

Substitute Instructors
It is our goal for you to consistently have the same instructor each week, but sometimes a substitute will be needed. If we provide you a substitute, no credits will be issued for the lesson if you decide to cancel it.

Leaving Lessons
When you are ready to leave regularly scheduled lessons you must fill out a "Program Exit Request". Each family in a semi-private lesson must turn in a separate form. This can be done in our office or online here. Billing for lessons stops on the date exit forms are turned in, or on a later date specified on the exit form by the participant or parent/guardian.

If you don't contact us to leave the program, and don't show up for lessons it is considered a "no-show". You will be billed for up to 2 no-shows. After 2 consecutive no-shows, with no contact from the swimmer or parent, the swimmer will be removed from the FSS program.

Locker Rooms
Children ages 5 and under are allowed in the opposite sex locker rooms. Please do not bring your child ages 6 and older into the opposite sex facility. We want all of our students and staff to feel comfortable. If you feel your child at this age is not ready to go unaccompanied to the locker room, a family changing area is located on the pool deck by the women's locker room as an alternative.

Lost and Found
We have a lost and found area where we will store items found from the pool deck and changing rooms. If items are not claimed after 1 month they are donated to the Northwest Children's Outreach.

Inclement Weather
If FSS has to cancel lessons due to the weather, we will give a 75% credit or the option of a make-up lesson/class scheduled within the next 30 days. If FSS remains open, there will be no credits or make-ups issued if a swim lesson is canceled outside of our normal cancelation policy of 48 and 24 hours.

Refunds
Please allow 90 days for us to process refund requests. Refund checks will be mailed to the address we have on file. If you need your refund sent to a different address, please notify us when you are requesting the refund.

Mutli-month Payments
As a thank you to customers who commit to continued lessons with us by paying for multiple months in advance we offer 5 to 15% off lessons. Please note that payments for multiple months are not eligible for refunds, however funds can be placed on hold if needed.
